July 4th, 2012 - Getting Ready for Elbrus

Our gear is packed and ready to go.  Each of our duffel bags weighs 50 pounds! Our crampons made the duffels too heavy, so they will go in our suitcases.  We've got a good selection of snacks to keep us happy on the mountain.  See pictures below.  Besides all of the mountain climbing gear we also had to pack clothes and toiletries for sightseeing in St. Petersburg and Moscow.  It took almost all day to get this accomplished.  We are tired but getting very excited!
